Letter to town of South Bristol

On July 7 and 8 2022 BHVA sent letters to the town of South Bristol claiming code violations by the Fields at BHVA with demands that the town take action.  Would the BOD please update the community in writing on the details of this action including:

1. How did the town respond to each demand?
2. Has there been resolution of the demands?
3. Was there an appeal made to the town’s zoning board in regards to the town’s response to these demands?
4. How much did this exercise cost BHVA (e.g. There is a $37K entry on a handout at the March 30, 2023 BHVA open meeting for “Municipal Expert for Zoning Hearing”. Also, there were lawyers representing BHVA at the appeal hearing)?
5. Is this exercise over?

Here is a summary of the demands:

1. Bison - BHVA demands that the Town issue a cease and desist order prohibiting bison on the property immediately.
2. Fence on A dock
3. Pier - BHVA demands that the Town issue an order for the removal of the fence immediately.
4. Commercial Operations - BHVA demands that the Town issue a cease and desist order to stop any and all commercial activities and to remove all equipment and material immediately from anywhere on the premises.
